I just found your website yesterday and have had it on since... I cannot even being to express the complete JOY it brings me. The only problem is the immense amount of debt I am soon to be in, as each song that plays makes me buy yet another album! LORD HAVE MERCY!
Thank you!

I've just discovered Sugar in the Gourd.
What a great site. It's giving me many hours of great listening to a form of music that is becoming ever more popular in the UK.
I guess it's bringing it all back home in many ways.

Hello John,
Thanks once again for putting this site up. As a photographer I spend a lot of time( probably too much time...)with my
face stuck in a computer screen. It wasnt always this way. We use to use this stuff called film. Shoot it deliver the goods and done. Sugar In The Gourd playing in the background restores some sanity to these very weird times...

Hello. I don't understand why I can listen some days and the next day, I can't get the music. When I access your webpage, this is what has been coming up the last 2 days:
Up Next:
Artist: Blankenship Family
Song: Working On The Railroad
Album: In The Pines: Tar Heel Folk Songs & Fiddle Tunes: Old-Time Music Of North Carolina 1926-1936
The track list has not changed and I can't get the music. Is it you or me? I'm not a computer whiz. I also don't understand about all the "slots" being used.
Thanks for all the good music when I can get it.

Love your site, John. I found it a while ago and have been back many times and will be back again. Started to play fiddle ten years ago at age 56.
Like the oldtime stuff and the more I play the better I get
Thank you for putting this together

Thanks to Uncle Chuck at WTJU in Charlottesville, VA for helping me ramble my way on over. Very nice. I am remembering Dry Branch Fire Squad told you I tell you this "there's not difference in playing old time music and not being able to play at all"
